Mbeli Now 6 years old, Mbeli is a beautiful young female.
She gives half-brother Fataki a hard time - stealing food and play-fighting. Sometimes the others let
Mbeli practise her mothering skills. She carries the youngsters around and cares for them.
Fuzu Fuzu still stays close to his mum. At 1.5 years old he is just starting to venture out with the others including big brother Fataki. No doubt half-brothers Fuzu and Mahale will grow up teasing each other and playing games.
Kibabu Taronga Zoo's gorilla family is lead by Kibabu, the silverback. He can often be seen sitting towards the back of the exhibit keeping a close watch on his growing family. When you visit you'll see how much he loves his food!
Mouila and Mahale Mouila is a great mum - always cuddling her young. When Mahale was newborn, Mouila clutched him to her belly until he got strong enough to hold on for himself. Mahale will be 1 in August 2009 - he has learnt lots in his first year of life.
